Obituary

Giosué Salvatore Iemmello passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on July 27, 2019. Born in Montepaone, Catanzaro, Italy Sal was the loving son of the late Nicola and Maria Teresa (nee Paparo).

Sal immigrated to America in 1965 and married the love of his life, Maria (nee Cerniglia). Sal was a dedicated husband for 45 years, cherished father to Maria Teresa Hermann (Michael) and Nick Iemmello (Holly), doting grandfather to Andrew, Alex, Matthew, Sal, Nicky, and Grace, brother to Marianna Ficchí (Domenico) and Vincenzo Nicola Iemmello, brother-in-law to Joe Cerniglia (Lisa) and Sara Gaul (Glenn), dear uncle to many and friend to all. He will be deeply missed by all.

Sal was a talented tailor working in the Philadelphia, Conshohocken, and Allentown areas and later opened his own business, Puritan Apparel in Lansdale from 1992 until 2001. Sal was a dedicated worker but in his free time he enjoyed cooking, making wine, watching Philadelphia sports, Italian soccer, playing cards and gardening, but above all his greatest joy was his family.

Relatives and friends are invited to Sal's Life Celebration on Wednesday July 31, 2019 from 6 pm to 8pm at Boyd-Horrox-Givnish Life Celebration Home of East Norriton, 200 West Germantown Pike and Thursday August 1 from 9 am to 9:50 am at St. Paul Catholic Church of Norristown, 2007 New Hope St. His Funeral Mass will follow at 10 am. Entombment at St. Patrick Cemetery.
