Gladys J. (Horner)Anderson a long time Bucks County resident passed away Sunday December 2nd, 2018 surrounded by loving family. She was 91

Born and raised in Kelso, Somerset County, PA Gladys was the 8th of 15 children born to Irvin A. & Hattie M. (Blough)Horner. After her marriage Gladys and her husband moved to Bristol, PA in search of work outside of the coal mines. She was an original Levittown homeowner opting for a new home in Red Cedar Hill over Red Rose Gate because the mortgage would have been five dollars more per month! Gladys was a wife, mother & homemaker who only worked outside of the home as life required her to. She enjoyed working at : Nabisco, Trendler Nursing Home, Buckingham Valley Nursing Home, and Bristol Township Schools. She and her husband retired to Honesdale PA in 1992, and in 1997 they became snow birds and spent winters in Tarpon Springs, FL. where they had many friends and enjoyed every minute of their time there. Gladys loved people, baking, entertaining and traveling.

She was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband of 60 years, Carleton Anderson, and a daughter Jacqualine Bauman. She is survived by her daughter Barbara Wasiuk of Dublin, PA and Robin & Bill Reithmeyer her daugher and son in law of Morrisville, PA, 5 grandchildren: Jennifer Bauman, Richard Wasiuk, Tanya Bauman, William Reithmeyer, Jr. and Maureen Reithmeyer, 5 great grandchildren and 4 great-great granddaughters that she adored. She is also survived by one brother Arthur Horner and his wife Betty of Levittown, and a sister in law Phyllis Anderson of Windber. And too many nieces and nephews to count

Gladys was an active member of the Donna Mistic Chapter of Deborah Hospital for many years and a member of the Morning Star Chapter #395 of the Eastern Star, which recently merged with Neshaminy Chapter #374

The family would like to thank all of the "girls" at Sunrise of Lower Makefield who surrounded her with love and companionship for the last two years.

Family and friends are invited to Gladys' Life Celebration on Sunday, December 9, from 7 PM – 9 PM, then again on Monday, December 10, from 10 AM – 11 AM, followed by her Funeral Service at 11 AM, all at the Beck Givnish Life Celebration Home, 7400 New Falls Rd., Levittown, PA 19055. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Cemetery.
