Obituary

Harry C. Fegley, V.M.D. died at his home in Jamison, PA on Wednesday, January 18, 2017, after a long illness. He was ninety years old. Born in Sunbury, PA on December 29, 1926, Dr. Fegley was the second of three sons born to the late William Fegley and Nettie (nee Haggy) Fegley. He was also a devoted husband to Carol (nee Hill) Fegley to whom he had been married for nearly sixty years.

Dr. Fegley and his wife, Carol, also a veterinarian, practiced together in Hatboro, PA, for nearly fifty years. Dr. Fegley was beloved by his patients and their owners. The County Line Veterinary Hospital, his legacy, continues to provide skilled and caring veterinary care to pets of all kinds under new ownership.

Before the move to Jamison, Dr. Fegley resided on a 30-acre farm in Buckingham Township where he enjoyed gardening, mowing on his Kubota tractor, walking with his dogs, and other simple joys of a gentleman farmer. He also enjoyed getting away to his Pocono mountain home to fish and be outdoors. Most of all, Dr. Fegley cherished time with his family. He was a devoted father and Pop-Pop. He is survived by his wife, three children; Laurie A. Glass, Scott I. Fegley and Kelly-Jean Kwiatkowski, and six grandchildren; Corey, John Charles, Courtney, Diana, Gabrielle and Amanda. Dr. Fegley's brothers, William and Raymond, predeceased him.

Remembrance

I'll see you in autumn fields and weathered barns,
And on the dock at McConnell Pond in the mists of Spring.
You'll be the quiet reassurance in times of doubt,
The strength in my handshake, the resolve in my voice.

Death cannot truly part us for I am you and you're in me.
You taught me to live with integrity.
Though you have walked on ahead of me for a while,
I'll let you go with a nod and a smile.
Should anyone ask about the times we've had
I'll be proud to tell them you're my Dad.
