James DeChurch of Jeffersonville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday April 18, 2018. He was 73 years old. Born December 17, 1944, he was raised in the renowned Conshohocken. James was the son of the late Guido and Madeline (nee Lauritano) DeChurch and the beloved husband of Rosemary (nee Piazza) DeChurch with whom he shared 43 years of marriage.

In addition to his wife, James is survived by his three sons; Damien (Michelle), Christian (Rachael) and Jonathan (Sarah) and two grandchildren Brynn and Callen.

After graduating from Saint Mathew's high school, James earned his undergraduate degree in accounting from Saint Joseph's University. He then obtained his Masters in Taxation from Widener University and became a Certified Public Accountant. He was an an adjunct professor for multiple colleges and universities in the greater Philadelphia area.

James led a life of selflessness. To his country, a veteran of the United States Army. To his community, a 20-year volunteer of the West Norritown Township ambulance squad. To his family, a loving home, a contagious laugh and unforgettable summers down the Jersey Shore.

James was a terrible golfer, but loved playing with his sons and nephews. He hated the spot light, but loved playing his accordion on New Year's Day with the Pennsport String Band. He had two left feet, but never missed an opportunity to jitterbug with his wife.

Relatives and friends are invited to share in James' Life Celebration on Monday April 23 from 6 to 9 PM at Boyd-Horrox-Givnish of East Norriton, 200 West Germantown Pike 610-277-7000. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM on Tuesday April 24 at 11 AM at Visitation BVM Church. There will be no viewing on Tuesday morning. Interment will be at St. Patrick's Cemetery.
