James Joseph Auchinleck, age 94 of Wildwood Crest, NJ, died Tuesday, Apr. 11, 2017. He was born Mar. 13, 1923 in South Philadelphia, son of the late John and Elizabeth Caffrey Auchinleck. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth G. Breuninger Auchinleck, who died in 1989. He was predeceased by his sisters Catherine Kelley, Elizabeth Marr, and Dolores McNamara Stowers; brothers, John and Joseph; two daughters-in-law, Kathleen Morrin Auchinleck and Rose Marshall Auchinleck and one son-in-law, Richard E. Crane. He served both in the Pennsylvania National Guard and US Army during World War II where he received the EAME Campaign, Good Conduct and WWII Victory Medals. He graduated from LaSalle University.

A long time resident of Levittown, PA, he was co-owner of Penn Beverages, The Fairless Inn, HiFi Bar, Breaker 19, and Happy Hour, as well as other business ventures. He retired to Florida, but relocated to Wildwood Crest in 2002.

He is survived by his sisters Mary Louise Golden and Rosemary Sitkowski; by his children James J. (Agnieszka) Auchinleck Jr. of Schaumburg, IL, Ruthann Crane of Wenonah, NJ, Karen (Raymond) Broderick of Columbia, MD, and Charles (Danielle) Auchinleck of Boca Raton, FL; 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grand children.

Family and Friends are invited to James's Life Celebration at the Dunn / Givnish Funeral Home, 378 South Bellevue Ave., Langhorne, PA 19047, from 9 – 10 AM on Saturday, April 15th. Services will follow at 10 AM. Int. Our Lady of Grace Cemetery.
