Janet A. Schrack (née McGuire) of Baltimore passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 14, 2017, with members of her family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph E. Schrack of Norristown, with whom she shared 32 wonderful years of marriage.

Born March 10, 1943, in Norristown, Janet was the daughter of Margaret Mary "Peg" McGuire (née O'Toole) and her husband, John Thomas "Jack" McGuire, who was long employed as the circulation director of this newspaper, The Times Herald.

After graduating from Immaculata University, Janet went on to teach English for several years before leaving to raise her family. She later returned to the workforce, eventually managing a travel agency in nearby Newtown.

Throughout her life, Janet was an avid reader, painter and traveler. Along with her family, she enjoyed exploring destinations across the United States, Europe and the Caribbean.

Janet is survived by three children: Joseph Schrack and his wife, Darlene, of New York; Amy Sheinin and her husband, David, of Baltimore; and Megan Schrack of Feasterville. Janet has two grandchildren, Lucinda and Lyla Sheinin of Baltimore, and she is also survived by her sister, Barbara McHugh, of Hockessin, Delaware.

Relatives and friends are invited to share in Janet's Life Celebration on Wednesday, June 28, from 10 a.m. to 10:50 a.m., at Boyd-Horrox-Givnish of East Norriton, 200 West Germantown Pike, 610-277-7000. Her Memorial Service will begin at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Inurnment will occur in a private ceremony at St. Patrick's Cemetery.
