Obituary

On Sunday, June 13, 2021, Janice Arlene Margerum, wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister, passed away at the age of 70. Born to William and Virginia, Janice will forever be remembered by husband and best friend, Louis, children, Christina, Brent (Melissa) and James, grandchildren, Grace and Tyler, sisters, Ginny (Paul) and Cyndi (John), brother, Bill (Nancy), and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends.

Janice was a woman of great faith who dedicated much of her life to serving the Catholic church. She proudly worked for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia for 30 years while volunteering at St. Leo and Our Lady of Consolation parishes as a Eucharistic Minister, Lector, and CCD teacher in her spare time.

Her life was rich. Blessed with a close family, her children and grandchildren were always around and a source of great joy. She also treasured the friendships she developed over the years during her bowling days, church functions, Artisan club gatherings and St. Ephrem senior get-togethers. The love of her life was Lou, though, her husband of 48 wonderful years. Even in sickness, they were inseparable. By each other's side until the end, they were a wonderful example of what one's wedding vows truly mean.

All are invited to Janice's viewing on Friday, June 18, 2021 from 6-8 pm at John F. Givnish Life Celebration Home, 10975 Academy Road, Philadelphia, PA. A closed casket viewing will also be held on Saturday, June 19, 2021 from 9 -10 am, followed by mass at 10 am at Our Lady of Consolation Church, 7051 Tulip Street, Philadelphia, PA and interment at Our Lady of Grace Cemetery, 1215 Super Highway, Langhorne, PA .
