Eggert

John G. Eggert III, 100 years old, of Hatboro, passed away on March 13, 2012. He graduated from Frankford High School and from Drexel University, where he earned his degree in Mechanical Engineering. He served in the US Navy during WWII as a Lieutenant. John was a 65 year Mason and belonged to the William L. Elkins Lodge 271, F and A.M. He was also an avid Phillies fan.
John was the husband of the late Jean (nee Cooper), to whom he was married for 70 years. He was predeceased by his son, John G. Eggert IV, and is survived by his daughters, Lois J. Ager (George) and Janet DiPiero (Andrew), his grandchildren: Pamela Abrams (Keith), Jacquelyn Ager-Neeld (Edward), Andrew DiPiero III, Michael DiPiero, and Kristin DiPiero, as well as 4 great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to John's life celebration on Saturday, 8:30-9:30am, at Gloria Dei Farms, 3445 Davisville Rd, Hatboro, where a service will be held at 9:30am. Interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the John George Eggert Memorial Endowment, c/o Susquehanna University, University Relations, 514 University Avenue, Selinsgrove, PA 17870-1164.
