Obituary

John W. Rieth, Jr. passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Friday February 28th, 2020. Husband of the late Doris Rieth, John is survived by his beloved children, John D. Rieth (Rita), and Denine Steckel (Eric). He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren, Jeremy (Sarah), Tyler, Brianna, and Aaron, as well as his loving sister, Margaret Eckert (Frank), and many loving nieces and nephews.

John, better known as, "Jack" or "Jackie" was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA. He
Graduated from North Catholic High School in 1959, and proudly served his country in United States Navy from 1959 to 1963. After serving in the Navy John was lucky enough to meet, and marry the love of his life, Doris. They had a beautiful marriage, and raised two loving children together. John had two careers throughout his life, both of which he loved; he worked for Septa, and The United States Postal Service. Those who knew John knew he had a great love of all things sweet, but especially milkshakes, and Peeps. (So please think of John the next time you enjoy one of his favorite treats!) John was truly loved and will be greatly missed by all who had the honor of having him in their lives. He was an amazing man, but most importantly he was a loving and caring Husband, Father and Grandfather.
