Obituary

Joseph A. Liotta, III of Blue Bell, passed away suddenly on Sunday August 29, 2021 at his home. He was 73 years old. Born September 20, 1948 in Norristown, he was the son of the late Joseph A. and Anna (nee Collins) Liotta, Jr. and the beloved husband of Donna L. (nee Szuchan) Liotta with whom he shared 52 years of marriage.

Joe graduated from Upper Merion HS in 1966 and loved the music from that era. He studied at Spring Garden trade school and was a skilled tool and die maker for over 35 years. He married his high school sweetheart Donna, and they were married for 52 wonderful years. Joe was a dedicated loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to many. He was always there to lend a hand. If you needed him, he came without hesitation. He enjoyed deer hunting with his cousins and reminiscing about stories of their childhood. (And he had great stories) He loved going to breakfast with his buddies and especially his grandchildren. Watching his grandsons sporting events made him proud and he often bragged about their talents. He cherished his close relationship with his only granddaughter. Decorating his yard for the holidays gave him joy and was admired by all who passed by. He loved rooting for the Eagles. He loved his dogs and treated them like they were his children. His laugh was contagious. Above all spending time with his family is what made him the happiest. Joe was a kind man with a huge heart and will be greatly missed by the many people he touched throughout his life.

In addition to his wife Donna, Joe is survived by his daughter Tamara Wengel (Michael), his son, Joseph A. Liotta, IV (Adrian), six grandchildren; Holly, Robert, Daniel, Joseph A., V, Anthony, and Nicholas, and his great grandchild, Casen.

All services for Joe were held privately for the family.

In lieu of flower please make donations to the American Heart Association.
