Joseph A. Sotack, 76, a long time resident of Solebury, PA, died Thursday, Dec.29th at Doylestown Hospital. He was the husband of Wanda L. (Mayo) Sotack.
The couple would have celebrated 52 years of marriage in January 2017.

Born in Hazelton, he was the son of the late Joseph and Pauline (Pushkar) Sotack.

In 1966 he earned his B.S. in Biology from King's College. He was employeed by UpJohn of Kalamazoo, Michigan for 30 years. He held various positions throughout his career.

He was a long time member of Saint Martin of Tours, Catholic Church in New Hope, PA.

He loved to work in his garden. He also enjoyed fishing, hiking and camping. He loved to cruise with his wife and long time friends. Going to the beach with his children and grandchildren gave him great joy. Also, he loved to attend his grandchildren's sporting events, musical performances, talent shows, and academic award ceremonies. He enjoyed the companionship of his granddogs. Above all he was a devoted husband, dad, and grandpa.

He served in the Navy, as a Seaman, from 1957-1962. He then served in the Army as a Sergant in the Infantry from 1962-1965.

In addition to his wife, Wanda Lynn he is survived by his four children: Paula M Strzelecki and husband Joseph, Bethlehem; Joseph R. Sotack and wife Catherine, Doylestown; Brian T. Sotack and wife Janice, Downingtown and Patricia Feehan and husband Patrick, Levittown; seven granchildren: Rachel, Joseph, Ryan, Cole, Jase, Adam, Logan and granddogs: Midnight, Blue and Fritz . He was preceded in death by one brother, Thomas Sotack.

Relatives and friends are invited to Joseph's Life Celebration, from 9-10am, Thursday, January 5th at the Church of St. Martin of Tours, 1 Riverstone Circle, New Hope, PA and to participate in his Memorial Mass at 10am. Interment will follow in Washington Crossing National Cemetery at 11:30am.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial contributions to Doylestown Hospital Hospice, 875 N Easton Road, Doylestown, PA 18902 or Saint Martin of Tours Catholic Church, 1 Riverstone Circle, New Hope, PA 18938.
