Obituary

Joseph (Joe) M Gill, 63, of West Norriton and a former resident of Lafayette Hill PA passed away peacefully at Seasons Hospice in Phoenixville on January 29, 2018 after a courageous third bout with cancer. Born on July 4, 1954, he was the son of the late Joseph V and Dorothy (nee Anderson) Gill. Joe was a graduate of Archbishop Kennedy High School class of 1972. He was a purchaser for Drake Refrigeration in Bensalem and was previously employed by Conta Luna Foods. Joe was the loving husband of 25 years to Joanne Piazza-Gill and father to Danny Gill. He is survived by his siblings; Dorothy (Joe) Ryan, Donna (Michael) Sullivan, Linda (Bruce) Undercuffler, all of Lafayette Hill, Mary Chaban of West Norriton, Michael (Chrisie) Gill of Swedesboro New Jersey, Anna Gill (Thomas Plunkett) of Napa Valley California. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He will be deeply missed by all. Joe had a lifelong love of golf and spent 53 years as a caddie at Whitemarsh Valley Country Club. He considered everyone at the country club to be a part of his extended family. Joe was honored recently with an Honorary Membership to Whitemarsh Valley Country Club. Joe will be remembered for his sense of humor and his ability to make everyone laugh. He had a love for all sports especially the Philadelphia Flyers.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Platt Caddie Scholarship, 1974 Sprout Rd Suite 400 Broomall , PA 19008 in memory of Joe Gill. Per Joe's request, please dress casual.

Relatives and friends are invited to Joe's Life Celebration on Thursday February 1, from 6 to 9 PM at Boyd-Horrox-Givnish of East Norriton 200 West Germantown Pike 610-277-7000 and again on Friday from 9:30 to 10:50 AM at St. Philip Neri Church 437 Ridge Pike, Lafayette Hill, PA. His Funeral Mass will begin at 11 AM at the church. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
