Karen M. Hanna of Chester Springs passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Friday March 9, 2018 at age 59. Born on January 23, 1959 in Philadelphia to Carol F. (nee Mason) and the late Dr. Joseph J. Hanna. Karen is survived by her loving mother, dear siblings Joseph Hanna (Diane), Kimberly Kimmel (Allen), and Patricia Walker (Kenneth), cherished nieces and nephews whom she loved as her own children Lauren (Dave), Andrew, Stephanie, Jacqueline, Allen J. (Jenna), Melissa, Patricia, Hanna, Mason), her great niece and nephew (Hanna and Levi) and countless friends. Preceded in death by her father and her nephew, Christopher Hanna.

Karen will be remembered for her love of family and friends, helping others and supporting women's rights. Karen was a successful businesswoman and loved solving complex problems with her incredible thirst for knowledge. She worked for many local companies in customer service, risk management and product development. She later focused on technology as a senior project manager and a CIO. Karen graduated from Villanova University and Archbishop Ryan High School and attended St. Albert the Great Elementary School.

In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made in Karen's honor to a charity of your choice.

Friends and relatives are invited to Karen's Life Celebration on Wednesday March 14 from 5PM to 8PM at Boyd-Horrox-Givnish Life Celebration Home of East Norriton, 200 West Germantown Pike and on Thursday March 15 from 10AM to 10:50AM at St. Cyril of Jerusalem Church of Jamison, 1410 Almshouse Rd. followed by her Funeral Mass. Private interment will be at a later date at the convenience of the family.
