Dr. Keith J. Hardman Jr. of Collegeville passed into eternal life on October 2, 2017 surrounded by his loving family at the age of 86. Born May 20,1931 in Richburg, NY, he was the loving son to the late Frances Marie Drumm and Keith Jordan Hardman Sr.

Beloved Husband to Jean Ethel Parker, married on June 22, 1963, and celebrated 54 years this past June!

Loving father to Carolyn Hardman, Keith Hardman III (Angela), and Colleen John (Ed), doting grandfather to Ethan, Jackson, Lucy, Gideon, Kean, and Parker, and dear friend to many.

Keith loved to travel! He and Jean have traveled all over the world. He planned two-week tours to Israel, Europe and Alaska for many years. He also loved to restore antique cars, read, write novels, work with stained glass, draw cartoons and paint with oils.

Keith grew up in West Branch, Philadelphia County Christian Endeavor. While a Haverford College student Keith served West Branch as President and then became President of Philadelphia County Christian Endeavor. Keith also served on the Board of Directors for Pennsylvania Christian Endeavor, served on most of the committees and had been First Vice President for over 8 years.

Keith graduated from West Philadelphia High School. He received his B.A. from Haverford College. After college Keith attended Princeton Theological Seminary graduating in 1957. His first pastorate was Southwestern Presbyterian Church. Keith also earned his Master of Arts degree from Columbia University in 1962. In 1970 Keith became Dr. Hardman, earning his Ph.D from the University of Pennsylvania. He was already teaching at Ursinus College, when they invited him to become a full-time Assistant Professor of Religion and Philosophy. In the 35 years Keith was at Ursinus he became a full professor and then the Chair of the department. Keith also served 12 churches in 20 years as interim pastor in the surrounding Philadelphia area. Even in retirement Keith loved teaching that he took on a Sunday School teaching position at Church of the Saviour for 8 years.

Relatives and friends are invited to Keith's Life Celebration on Friday, October 6, 2017 at Church of the Saviour, 651 N. Wayne Avenue, Wayne, PA 19087. 10:00 AM- visitation with the family, 11:00 AM- service.
