Obituary

Kenneth Albert Bissinger of Doylestown, passed away suddenly on Sunday, November 25, 2018, in Ocean City, New Jersey, while on vacation, celebrating the Thanksgiving holiday with his family. Ken was 69 years old.

He was the loving husband of Vivian Saunders Bissinger for 46 years, having met at Florida Bible College, in Miami, Florida.

Ken was born in Abington, Pa., and was the son of the late Albert and Bettie Bissinger.

Ken was a serial entrepreneur and Founder/President of Renew Design Group in Souderton, PA. A Land Development firm emphasizing stewardship of our communities. He graduated from Florida Bible College in 1973 with a BA in Biblical Education. He attended Penn State University, where he studied Architectural Engineering.
Ken enjoyed playing guitar, leading worship as a musician, and wrestling with current real-world biblical applications (he especially enjoyed this one). He loved to jog, vacation at the Jersey Shore, play baseball, and most importantly spend time with his children and grandchildren. Although we secretly knew he loved coffee the most.

Ken was the loving father of three children. Brent Bissinger, who passed away unexpectedly in 1992 at the young age of 17. Brandyn Bissinger of Doylestown and Bradley Bissinger of Souderton. He is survived by six grandchildren as the beloved "Pop-Pop" of Tyler Taurino, Tessa Taurino, Tori Taurino, Travis Taurino, Andrew Bissinger and Ethan Bissinger.

He is survived by siblings Barbara Lancaster of Ocean City, New Jersey. Robert Bissinger of Parrish, Fl., and Carol Detweiler of Telford, Pa.

His gentle, kind and compassionate ways have touched many lives and he will be sorely missed. In lieu of multiple family and business hardships, Ken always managed to be steadfast in his faith with the Lord. However, Ken would be the first to tell you that it was rarely easy. Ken understood the difficulties of trusting in the Lord but strived daily to apply biblical principles to his business emphasizing that personal relationships were most important above all else.

Ken's memorial service will be held at Covenant Church, 4000 Route 202 Doylestown, Pa. 18902 with a viewing beginning at 9:30 am on Saturday, December 1st, 2018, followed by a church service at 11 am. Interment will follow in Mechanicsville Cemetery.
