Kenneth E. Bradley, Jr. 69 of Hershey, PA (formerly of Philadelphia) passed away at home on June 22, 2021. Beloved husband of Kathleen Coughlin Bradley. Loving father of Patrick C. Bradley (Heather), Michael S. Bradley, Anthony J. Langello (Sarah) and Jeffrey M. Langello. Loving Grandfather of Jagger, Catherine, Stephanie, Andrew and Ryan. Dear brother of Martarose Pawlikowski (Joe) and Gregory (deceased). Ken's parents, Kenneth E. Bradley, Sr. and Rose Massey Bradley are also deceased.
Ken was born in Philadelphia on October 15, 1951. He was raised in the East Oak Lane section of Philadelphia and attended Holy Angels Catholic Grade School. He attended Cardinal Dougherty High School and graduated in 1970.
In 1971, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and spent 4 years stationed in Germany before returning home to Philadelphia.
Upon his return, he was accepted into an apprenticeship program at the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard. He took tremendous pride in his work at the shipyard but admitted on more than one occasion that "this is the most fun you can have and still call it work".
During the time he worked at the shipyard, he pursued and obtained his Baccalaureate Degree and Masters degree in Occupational Safety and Health at St. Joseph's University. He completed his degrees attending class at night while raising 4 boys with his wife.
Prior to his retiring in 2015, he also worked for the City of Philadelphia in the Safety Office of the Philadelphia Water Department.
Ken loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He also enjoyed relaxing on the beaches of North Wildwood and swimming in the ocean more than anything. He and his wife also travelled extensively whenever time allowed.
Relatives and friends are invited to Kenneth's Life Celebration Tuesday, June 29, 2021 from 6:00PM to 9:00PM at John F.
