Leander (Lee) P. Tori, Jr. of Holicong passed away April 20, 2018 peacefully at home. He was 89 years old.

Lee is survived by his wife of 61 years, Marilyn; son David, and his wife Dee of Lahaska; son Charles of Holicong; son Steven and his wife Kelli of Holicong; grandchildren Jennifer Shick and husband Ryan, Ashley Darby and husband Bryan, and Daniel Tori; and great-grandchildren Cohen and Dillon Shick.
Lee was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Leander P. Tori and Dorothy (Haas) Tori of Philadelphia, and his brother John Tori of Florida.

Lee was born in Philadelphia on June 8, 1928 and graduated from Central High School and Ursinus College in Collegeville. He was employed by the Pennsylvania Railroad, the Penn Central Railroad and the Consolidated Rail Corporation (Conrail) until his retirement in 1990. Lee also served in the U.S. Air Force on both active duty and in reserve status, rising to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.

He was also a member of the Northminster Presbyterian Church of Levittown where served in many capacities over the years, in addition to that of a Boy Scout leader of Troop 92.

Lee was also a very active member of the Philadelphia Mineralogical Society, the Rock and Mineral Club of Lower Bucks County, as well as the Leidy Microscopical Society of Philadelphia.

Lee will be interred at the Washington Crossing National Cemetery during a private memorial service. Friends are encouraged to direct any memorial contributions to a meaningful charity or organization of their choice.
