Obituary

Linda Joyce Young passed away on November 5, 2021, at St. Mary Medical Center, Langhorne, surrounded by her husband and children.
Linda was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, with her family being the center of her universe. To know Linda was to know an angel on Earth and her love for her friends and family is what bound her to this life. Linda had a love for traveling and seeing the great scenes of the world that so kindly embraced her. She had an ability to create beautiful art and was able to carry a goodnight lullaby tune for her grandchildren. Although Linda's protective instinct was as strong as could be, she was still as gentle as a dove. With her charming wit and dazzling smile she could brighten any given moment. Linda will forever be remembered in our hearts, our thoughts, and the memories we so greatly cherish; for she may look down upon us and smile as we watch her spirit be set free. Linda's tenderness and loving ways are what will remind us to look up on our loneliest days. And although we can't have her anymore, we are happy to know that angels have finally got her back. Goodbye to an incredible wife, a beautiful mother, and an amazing grandmother. Forever and always in our hearts.
Linda was born on April 23, 1949, in Philadelphia. She was the daughter of the late George Edward and Adelaide Irene Sims (nee Coughlin), and the wife of David H. Young, to whom she was married for 42 wonderful years.

In addition to her husband David, Linda is survived by her beloved children Shannon DeFelice (Nicholas Casbar), Kerry Thompson (Michael), Amber Curtier (Kevin), and David J. Young; sisters Adelaide Wolff, Barbara Nolan, and Carol Taylor; and 8 Grandchildren Daulton, Logan and Trinity DeFelice, Christian and Sophia Thompson, Mason, Reed and Ashlyn Curtier. Being the youngest of eight children, she is also survived by a multitude of nieces and nephews of whom she adored. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in passing by brothers, George Sims and John Sims; and sisters, Ruth DeStefano and Judith Scott.

An Old Irish Blessing
May the road rise to meet you,
May the wind be always at your back,
May the sun shine warm upon your face, the rain fall soft upon your fields,
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the hollow of his hand.
