Obituary

Lois Mae (Ottinger) Richter, of Sellersville, PA passed peacefully on Wednesday, February 8th, 2017 to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ surrounded by adoring family. Lois was born in July 1943 in Philadelphia, PA a daughter of Robert and Edna Mae Ottinger. She was 73.

Lois graduated from Northeast High School in 1961 where she was active in Swimming, Volleyball, and Badminton clubs. There she met the love of her life, John H. Richter and courted for several years until marrying in 1964 following John's service in the US Army. As the loving and cherished wife of John Richter for 53 years, and caring mother to Karen Connolly (Eugene), and Nanci Sampson (Richard), Lois leaves behind an impressive legacy in her six grandchildren; Elaine Kirkpatrick (Robert), Andrew Connolly (Bridget), Grace Connolly, Meghan Sampson, Lynn Sampson, and Noah Sampson as well as her great granddaughter Ailis. Lois was most happy when spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and making them blueberry muffins. Lois will also be greatly missed by her sister Shirley Fogel and her brother David Ottinger (Marjan).

Lois' life was one hallmarked by caring service to others. She worked 18 years with ACTS as a Certified Home Health Aide, serving in the care of others in need which she saw as an extension of serving her Savior Christ, whom she loved so much. Lois will also be remembered for the many years she spent in her church homes Chelten Baptist and Grace Community Church of Chalfont as a Deaconess in service of others. Meeting others' needs before her own was simply who Lois was. Though she will be missed by those who loved her and benefitted from her friendship and servant heart, there is great hope and comfort in knowing Lois is experiencing heavenly joy in the presence of her Savior and worshiping at His feet.

Relatives and friends are invited to Lois' Life Celebration and memorial service on Saturday, February18 with visitation at 1:00 pm and service to begin at 2:00 pm at Grace Community Church of Chalfont (300 Highpoint Dr, Chalfont, PA 18914); interment private.

In lieu of flowers, a donation in Lois' memory may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (http://events.lls.org/pages/epa/InMemoryofLoisMaeRichter) and would be greatly appreciated.
