Obituary

Margaret E. Coyle passed away at St. Joseph's Villa on October 6, 2016. Born in Philadelphia on May 10, 1932. Marge was one of thirteen children born to her parents Anna and Peter Coyle. She grew up and attended St. Joan of Arc's school in North Philadelphia. Where she and her family were members. Her parents mentored her in faith and in a life of generosity and caring. After graduating from Little Flower High School, Marge, traveled to Chestnut Hill on September 12, 1951, and began her life as a Sister of St. Joseph. On April 14, 1952 she received the Habit of the Sisters of St. Joseph and was known as Sister Anne Kathleen.

She received a Bachelor of Science degree from Chestnut Hill College. For more than 14 years she instructed elementary and secondary in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, as well as in the Diocese of Allentown.

In 1963 Marge left the Sisters of St. Joseph and went to work for Visteon Systems/ Philco-Ford as a Salary Administrator, a few years later she transferred to the accounting department and bcame a "Senior Accountant" and in 1989 in recognition of her responsibility and contribution was promoted to "Cost Analysis Specialist".

Marge retired in 1994 and started to volunteer at St. Joseph's Villa, formed a life-long friendship with her devoted friend Sister Nora. Many new relationships were also to become a part of Marge's life at the Villa. Marge served as a Eucharistic Minister and assisted Sister Nora with computer data processing. Many sought her expertise of computer skills and Marge generously shared her excellent skills.

Marge (Dot) loved her family dearly and was happiest when she was spending time with her sisters Cass and Babe as well as her nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by six brothers, George, John, Jim, Pat, Ed, and William and three sisters, Rita, Anna and Mary.

Marge enjoyed the simple things in life. She enjoyed working on the computer, crossword puzzles, loved flowers and was content watching and cheering the Phillies.

At this most difficult time, we rely on our faith in God. We are more grateful than we can ever say for the support of our family, our friends and so many who opened their hearts to Marge. The Coyle family would like to thank the Sisters of St. Joseph for the wonderful support they gave to us all. We pray that Marge will find eternal rest, and that God's perpetual light will shine on her. God Bless you Dot. We love you and always will.

Memo: To my family, "Remember dear family, perhaps they are not stars in the sky but rather openings where our loved ones shine down to let you know they are happy."
