Obituary

Margaret J. Miller (nee Lindecamp) of King of Prussia, passed away peacefully on Tuesday July 9, 2019. She was 89 years old. Born December 14, 1929, in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Lewis H. and Marion (nee Smith) Lindecamp.

Around the age of 10, her mother, her brother Frank and herself moved in with her mother's mother Mary Hart, a widow, and her mother's four half-siblings on Master St in West Philadelphia. All having lived or grown up in the Great Depression, they knew a frugal life. Two of the young men in the household served in WWII.

Margaret (called Peggy) graduated from Overbrook High School in 1947. After a few jobs including a job as a switchboard operator, she married Edgar L. Miller Jr in 1948. They had four children over the next 12 years. In 1953 they moved to the suburbs, eventually landing in King of Prussia.

Margaret worked for several years at Wanamakers and other jobs, but finally settled in for a long career at Chilton Publishing as a supervisor in one of their market research units.

She was an avid reader, loved movies, and went on numerous trips with some of the old Master St family group. In later years she spent much time visiting and attending church with her aunt Dorothy Vaites. A devoted family person, she babysat grandchildren for many years and always found much joy in children. She will be missed by many people.

Margaret drew strength and comfort from her faith in Jesus Christ.

Margaret is survived by her four children; Eric C. Miller, Grace E. Davis, Janet Tomcavage (Michael), and Gail R. Conboy (Matthew), eight grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother Frank P. Lindecamp.

Relatives and friends are invited to share in Margaret's Life Celebration on Monday July 15, from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at Boyd-Horrox-Givnish of East Norriton, 200 West Germantown Pike, 610-277-7000. Her funeral service will begin at 10:30 AM. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Park.
