Obituary

Martha S. Siefer, (nee Straub), of East Norriton and formerly of Narberth, passed away on Sunday, May 14, 2017 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was 90 years old. "Marty" as she was known by her family and friends, was born on January 4, 1927 to the late William V. and Ermine (nee Seep) Straub in Oil City, PA. She was the wife to Walter L. Siefer whom she knew since childhood. Together they shared 67 years of marriage since May 21, 1949. Marty graduated in 1945 from Georgetown Visitation High School. She was a homemaker who was devoted to her family and her faith and also loved music and writing poetry. Marty was also a devout Catholic, having cherished one of her most beloved possessions, oil blessed by Padre Pio himself.

In addition to her husband Walter, Marty is survived by her children; Leigh Ryan (Kevin), Stephen Siefer (Donna), Mark Siefer (Debi), David Siefer, Susan Bomgardner (Roger), Christopher Siefer (Karen), Matthew Siefer (Joanne) and Anne Siefer (Heath Kelsey) along with eighteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren with one on the way. She is predeceased by her infant son, James Siefer. Marty is also survived by her siblings; Barbara Walsh (the late William), Nancy MacInnis (Derrick), Richard Straub (Elizabeth) and Jane Friday (the late James). She is predeceased by her sister, Katheryne Loughran (the late John), and William Straub.

Relatives and friends are invited to Marty's Life Celebration on Friday, May 19, 2017 from 10:00-11:20 a.m. at St. Titus Church 3006 Keenwood Rd, Eagleville, PA 19403 followed by her funeral mass at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
