Mary A. McGill (née Blaney), died peacefully at Frederick Living, surrounded by her family on June 13, 2017. She was 87 years old.
Mary is survived by her children, James McGill Jr. and wife, Fé, Mary Ann McGill Muller and husband, John, and Michael McGill and wife, Deborah; her five grandchildren, John Muller and wife, Karen, Mark Muller, Timothy McGill, Hope McGill, and Matthew McGill; her two
great-grandchildren, Jacob and Claire Muller; and her sisters, Regina Mullen, Margaret Clark, and Patricia Mitchell.
She is preceded in death by her husband, James J. McGill, her sisters, Joan Aussprung and (Dorothy) Sister M. Genevieve Blaney, her brother, Robert Blaney, Jr., and her parents, Robert and Mary Blaney.
Mary was born on August 11, 1929 in Philadelphia, PA. Her career included phlebotomist for Jefferson Hospital, retail sales for Gimbels, and concluded with a twenty-three-year career as a laboratory assistant for Fox Chase Cancer Center to Dr. Beatrice Mintz. Mary was known for her hard work and attention to detail.
In addition to her career, Mary was dedicated to her Catholic faith. She was a third order Carmelite as well as Eucharistic minister at St. Helena Church, Philadelphia. Upon moving to Wayne, PA in 1996, Mary became a member of St. Katherine of Siena Church. An active and dedicated member, Mary was church cleaner, Eucharistic minister, and preschool volunteer.

She will be remembered as a joy to the Frederick Living community, a past resident of the
St. Mary Manor community, and known for her wit, wisdom, and sense of humor.

Friends and relatives are invited to Mary's viewing on Monday June 19 from 10:00 to 10:50a.m. followed by her Mass of the Resurrection at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Spring Mount, PA. Interment will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Philadelphia. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Mary's life. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Fox Chase Cancer Center-American Oncologic Hospital, Philadelphia, in memory of Mary,
