Obituary

Mary Ann Bernardino, of Wycombe, PA died on Monday March 19, 2018 at her winter home in Florida. She was the loving wife of Dr. Vitaliano Bernardino and the late Louis Skerdlant and the daughter of the late George and Irma Pidcock MacKissic. Mary Ann lived her entire life in Bucks County and having a great interest in history, she traveled extensively throughout the world. She was active in preserving Bucks County's historic properties, having served as Secretary of the Wrightstown Historical Commission for over 35 years and she was instrumental in preservation of the Wrightstown Octagonal Schoolhouse and its registration on the National Register of Historic Places. Mary Ann also served many years as inspector of Election in Wrightstown Township. When her first husband Louis with whom she owned and operated Skerdlant's Service Station in Washington Crossing, died suddenly, her friends feared she may never be happy again. Wonderfully, her new life with Dr. Bernardino gave her much happiness. Together, they enjoyed travel, building a new home, wintering in Florida and sharing numerous other mutual interests.

Mary Ann is survived by her husband, a nephew, two nieces, her sister in law and her children, stepchildren and their children and far too many friends to enumerate.

Relatives and friends are invited to Mary Ann's Memorial Life Celebration on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at 11 AM at Thompson Memorial Presbyterian Church; 1680 Aquetong Road, New Hope, PA interment will follow in the church cemetery.
