Mary Jane Macchia, wife of the late Dr. Angelo Francis Macchia, and a resident of Attleboro Retirement Community in Langhorne, and previously of Lower Makefield Township, passed away peacefully January 31, 2018 surrounded by her family.

Mary Jane was born in 1926 to Creston and Eleanor (Whittaker) Sutch. She graduated from Abington High School, class of 1944; she then entered University of Pennsylvania and completed her degree at the School of Dental Hygiene.

Mary Jane was an active member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Morrisville, where she sang in the choir. She was also active in the Lower Bucks Hospital Dr.'s Wives Auxiliary and with Meals on Wheels. Mary Jane loved spending time with her family, doing crafts, singing and helping others.

She was the loving wife of 70 years to the late Dr. Angelo Francis Macchia. She is survived by her children, Mary Anne Maddaloni (Philip), Robert C. Macchia, Sr. (Deborah), Michael Macchia, William Macchia, Eleanor Macchia, and Michelle Callahan (Brian); her brother, Dr. William R. Sutch; 9 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her two brothers, James and Creston Sutch, and her sister, Dorothy Douglass.

Mary Jane's family would like to thank the staff at Attleboro Retirement Community for the tender care that they provided to Mary Jane during her time there.
Services will be held privately.
