Mary Lou C. Chianese, age 82, passed away, January 31, 2018, at her long time residence, in New Hope, Pennsylvania. She was born in Norfolk, Virginia December 10, 1935, to the late Jack Clayton Curtis and Gertrude Rush Curtis.

Mary Lou attended Norfolk Catholic High School, and Catholic University, before obtaining her Bachelors from Gwynedd Mercy College and Master's from Trenton State College. History and researching ancestry, were her passions. She especially, loved reading about and researching the Colonial era, of the United States and Twentieth Century, world history.

Mary Lou took her love and passion of history and American patriotism, into a forty-five year, tenure in the Daughters of the American Revolution. She held numerous offices on the local, state and national levels of the DAR and was also extremely involved in The Children of the American Revolution, founding and perpetuating the Washington Crossing Society of the CAR, during the latter years of her life. She aspired to educate young people in the importance, of our national history, while instilling qualities of patriotism, pride, integrity and conservation. Qualities, she not only taught others, but embodied, herself.

During the twenty-five years, of her professional career, she was the executive assistant to the President/CEO of several large corporations, including, Champale Inc, Sundor Brands Inc. and Rolling Rock Beer. Mary Lou was committed to her career, and helped in the success of every company, she worked for, but her family and children, always came first.

Mary Lou, is survived by four children; John Clayton, Thomas Clinton, Caroline Claire and Richard Curtis; and four grandchildren; Justin Pellarin, John-Curtis Pellarin, Evan Chianese and Catherine Charlotte Chianese; and niece, Nancy Clarke La Rocca and nephew, John Marvin Pole.

Family and friends are invited to Mary Lou's Life Celebration, from 6-8pm, Saturday, February 10th, at Leaver/Cable of Buckingham, Rte 202 & Quarry Rd. There will be a Memorial Mass at Saint John's the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 44 Bridge St., Lambertville, NJ, on Monday, February 12, at 10:30am.
