Mary M. Grau, 89, of Palm Coast, FL, passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2019 under the compassionate care of Bailey Center for Caring, St. Augustine, FL.
She was born on July 5, 1929 in Philadelphia, PA, a daughter of the late Raymond Sr., and Mary Philipp Mountain. In 1947, she graduated from Little Flower Catholic High School. Mary lived most of her life in Philadelphia. Was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church where she volunteered working as a lunch mother, a gym mother, and was active with the ladies guild. Mary developed and initiated the start of The Campfire Girls program at St. Cecilia. Mary had most joy in being married and raising her six children.

Before retiring, Mary worked as file clerk with the Department of Social Security. In 1994 Mary and her husband, Walter retired to New Port Richey, Florida. She was a member of St. Vincent DePaul Society and volunteered at Safety Town with the Pasco County Sheriff's Department working with children.

Mary's hobbies were sewing, knitting and crocheting. Mary also enjoyed history and visiting historical places. Mary's greatest joy was her family, spending time with her family and vacationing with her family.

Mary is survived by two sons, Walter (Maryann) Grau, Jr. of Palm Harbor, FL, and Steven (Colleen) Grau of Philadelphia, PA; three daughters, Therese (James) DeLorenzo of Schwenksville, PA, Mary Frances (Dennis) Kemper of Palm Coast, FL, Agnes (James) Burleigh of Horsham, PA; Seventeen grandchildren: Dennis, Lauren, Michael, Heather, Steven, Kevin, Juliette, Joseph, Leslie, Andrew, Maura, Gabriella, Justin, Ian, Emily, Ashley and Ronnie. As well as nine great grandchildren: Alyssa, Chloe, Hailey, Joel, Mya, Mason, Jude, Stella, and Rockwell Walter.

In addition to her parents Mary was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 48 years, Walter, a daughter, Rosemary Wilkinson, three brothers, Joseph, John, Raymond Mountain; a sister Agnes Maguire.

Relatives and friends are invited to Mary's Life Celebration visitation on Monday March 11th at the Dean-Geitner-Givnish Life Celebration Home (7900 Oxford Ave, Phila. 19111) from 6-8PM, and on Tuesday March 12th at St. Cecilia Catholic Church (535 Rhawn Street, Phila. 19111) from 9:30AM-10:30AM with a mass to follow at 10:30AM; interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
