Obituary for Melissa (Marissa) Jean Lynch

September 18, 1992 - October 24, 2016
Jenkintown, Pennsylvania | Age 24

"Good morning gorgeous. It is with a heavy heart I try to say good bye to you. My heart is broke every where I go everything I do reminds me of you. I almost lost you so many times this doesn't seem real. The only comfort I have is knowing you are no longer suffering. You spent every day with Hunter as if it was his last day with you in case something would happen to him. That love you have for your son gave him security and he is holding on to his dad with all his might. None of us will ever let him forget you. Jon has lost his princess, the love of his life you don't see the kind of love you two had in people so young now a days. You were like two old souls that were married fifty years. Jon, Dad, Michelle, Denise, Kevin and I are so lost without you. You kept telling me you were dying, I kept telling you to keep fighting you can get through this. Next year you will be all better if you do not give up. You never gave up. You kept fighting through the pain. If only I had known. I didn't believe you would die, I still have a hard time believing it. Ulcerated colitis, irritable bowel syndrome, removal of the colon, more surgery, nerve damage, and now collapsed lung, phenomena, and a clogged heart valve ... your little body was just to weak to fight anymore. You will always live in my heart."
– Norene Lynch, Mother, Pittsburgh, PA, Nov 01, 2016

It is with great sorrow and sadness that Norene and Dennis Lynch announce the passing of their baby girl, Melissa Jean Lynch (Marissa), 24, of Jenkintown, formerly from Pittsburgh PA. Tragically, on October 24, 2016, Heaven gained an Angel.

Melissa graduated from PA Leadership Charter School in 2011. She was very devoted in helping with child aids, cancer research and animal rights. She put others before herself and made a lot of friends, some who found her to be an amazing and beautiful person, both on the inside and out.

As a little girl growing up, Melissa enjoyed the outdoors. She loved spending time with her Dad, working on home depot projects, and enjoyed their time, having heart to heart talks on Saturday mornings during their stop at Einstein bagels. She even made a wind chime that her Mom proudly displays in her kitchen window. Melissa was a person of many talents and even developed Mom's amazing knack for cooking and baking.

Melissa is survived by her parents, Norene and Dennis Lynch, her son Hunter and soul mate/Fiance, Jon (Jack), sisters Michelle and Denise, brother Kevin, nieces Sydney and Jorden, and Boher family-Betty, Liz and Joe. She touched the lives of many and will be sadly missed by all of those who had an opportunity to be a part of her life.

Even as Melissa became weak, her only request was that her Son be taken care of and that he grows to know who she was. We ask for continued prayers for healing of her family and friends in their time of need.
