Nancy Geppert Duff age 92, a resident of Huntingdon Valley died at her home surrounded by her family, on September 23, 2019 at 3:00PM. Nancy was the beloved wife of Edward Joseph Duff, and passed on the eve of their 70th wedding anniversary.

Born on September 26, 1926 at 3:00AM. Nancy was the daughter of the late William A. Geppert and Anna Carberry Geppert. She grew up in the little town of Wyndmoor with her 4 brothers, Bill, Joe, Jim and Richard, and 3 sisters, Marie, Joan and Lorraine. She went to Seven Dolors Elementary School, and graduated from Cecilian Academy High School in Philadelphia.

It was after a high school prom, that Nancy met the love of her life, Edward Duff, sparking a fairytale-like romance that lasted more than 70 years. Ed and Nancy married on September 24, 1949, after Ed served two years in the Navy. While Ed was in the Navy Nancy worked for Bell Telephone Company, as a telephone operator. Their marriage was blessed with 12 children.

Nancy started her day by going to daily mass at 6:30AM. After mass she would come home make breakfast and get her children off to school. By time the youngest daughter, Kathleen, graduated high school, Nancy had made over 26,549 sandwiches and 26,637 desserts for school lunches! She was always found in the kitchenette, baking. She was famous for her Chocolate Chip Cookies, Jewish Apple Cake, Texas Chocolate Cake, Strawberry Pound Cake, Blueberry Buckle, and Company Layer Cake. Nancy's recipes were compiled by her daughter Mary Kay into "The Duff Family Cookbook" and it is currently on its third edition. Her love of baking has been passed onto her children, grand children and now her great grandchildren.
She loved traveling with Ed in their conversion van. In their golden years they would travel to Florida with the Golden Girls and Jim Lyons.
They were blessed with 34 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. In 2007 Nancy & Ed took all of their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren on an Alaskan cruise. Her home is filled with many pictures of all the sweet memories they have made over the years.

Nancy was a member and past president of Christian Mothers, and was a member of the Ladies of Charity. She was a Eucharistic Minister at St. David's Church.

Nancy spent 66 years caring for Ed and her children. In 2016 Ed passed away. Nancy still remained very active going to baptisms, First Holy Communions, Confirmations, graduations, weddings, watching grandchildren's tennis, basketball and soccer games. These past few years her children finally got a chance to care for her and give her all the love and care that she had given over the years. What a beautiful circle of life.
