Paul David Deen, 71, of Newtown, PA died on November 21, 2021 at his home. He was born in Detroit, MI and raised in Cranford, NJ.
Paul graduated from Cranford High School in 1968, attended Purdue then Drew University before enlisting in the United States Air Force where he served for 4 years. Upon his return he graduated Suma cum laude from SUNY (State University of NY) at Stony Brook with a degree in Engineering. He later received an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania. Paul was a Software Engineer who worked for several companies; Stone & Webster, Howard Johnson's, RCA, Computer Assoc., but finally found his real home at SEI Investments where he has worked for the past 29 years. He was an avid tennis player who enjoyed many hobbies and educating himself on many topics. His greatest joy and favorite pastimes were his family, grandchildren and watching old movies.
Paul is the son of the late Harold Eugene and Ruth Edith Deen. He has been the devoted husband of Gabrielle Overholt Deen for the past 17 years. He was predeceased by his wife of 26 years Lisa Caron Deen. He is the father of Michael and his wife Laura Deen, David Deen and his wife Kate Haughey and Rachel Deen. Paul is the proud grandfather of Margot, Eloise, Parker and Avery. He is also survived by his brothers and sister, Robert (Lynn) Deen, Keith (Sally Lyn) Deen and Susan (Philip) Clark.
Relatives and friends are invited to Paul's Memorial service on December 8th at the Newtown Presbyterian Church, Chancellor Street, Newtown, PA at 1:00 pm. Interment will be private in Washington Crossing National Cemetery on December 13th at 1:00 pm. Memorial contributions in Paul's name may be made to the American Cancer Society.
