Ralph "Butch" Nealman, 79, of East Norriton, PA passed away peacefully at his daughter, Stephanie's home on June 30, 2022. Born February 20, 1943 in Norristown, PA he was the son of the late Frances (Miller) and Ralph R. Nealman. Ralph was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy "Dottie" who was the love of his life. Ralph is survived by two daughters: Stephanie (Don) Kolb and Pamela (Shawn) Graham and two sons: Brian and Scott (Jennifer). Ralph is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and brothers: Bob, Gary and Charles. Preceded in death by brother, Frank.

Ralph attended Norristown High School where he received Varsity letters for three years in Football and Basketball. He was very active in community affairs for many years. He was a PIAA basketball and baseball official and umpired for many years in local baseball and softball leagues. Ralph coached his daughters for many years in softball and basketball and also served as softball commissioner and President of ENGAA (East Norriton Girls Athletic Association). Ralph also served on the East Norriton Township Parks board. Ralph was a life member of Norriton Fire Engine Company serving for over 43 years. He also served on many committees and received the Lifetime Achievement Award, Life Member Award, Firefighter of the Year award twice, President's Award three times, and Chief Engineer's Award. Ralph also received the East Norriton Township Outstanding Citizen Award and served on the East Norriton Township 100th Anniversary Committee and Veteran's Memorial Committee.

Ralph was a true patriot. Ralph served in the US Marine Corp from 1963-1969 serving in Vietnam with the Co. B 1st Bn 1st Marine Division. Ralph also served in the US Army from 1979-2000 with the 1st Bn 111th Infantry. While in the military, Ralph received many awards such as the Vietnam Service Medal with 2 bronze stars, Republic of Vietnam Cross of Gallantry, Vietnam Campaign Medal and the Order of Saint Maurice Centurion Award, Commendation Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Achievement Medal with six bronze oak leaves and Combat Action Ribbon.

Ralph was a life member of the Vietnam Veterans Chapter 349 and served as President for the past 20 years. He was also a member of the Marine Corp League, a member of the American Legion Post #901, life member of the Disabled American Veterans Chapter #25 and life member of the National Infantry Association.

Ralph was a hero to many and larger than life. He leaves behind an amazing legacy for his family, his Veteran and Firemen brothers and sisters. He will be missed beyond measure. A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered.

Relatives and friends are invited to Ralph's Life Celebration on Thursday July 7, 2022 from 6-8 PM, and again on Friday, July 8, 2022 from 9-11 AM, followed by his funeral service at 11 AM at Boyd-Horrox-Givnish Life Celebration Home of East Norriton, 200 W.
