Obituary

Ralph Lorenz Hose, Esq. Celebrated his 94th birthday August 24. Born in Cleveland, Ohio to Omer C. & Josephine Rogers Hose and raised by Mary Ellen & John Albert Wolfe his Aunt & Uncle. He resided at Shannondell in Audubon, but lived in King of Prussia for 55 years with his wife Eleanor Krason Hose who was the love of his life for 64 years. Eleanor and Ralph were inseparable and known as "the lovers" because they held hands wherever they went and every night as they fell asleep. They are survived by Eleanor's dear sister Irene K. Barbieri. Ralph attended Bowling Green University and majored in Political Science, Speech and History. He completed his studies in 3 years. He earned a Fellowship at the Wharton School at The University of Pennsylvania and went on to earn his law degree at Temple Law School in the evening. Ralph became a renowned attorney in Montgomery County, PA. He loved learning & found time to teach at LaSalle College. Like so many, it was the GI Bill which provided Ralph an education. Ralph proudly served our Country during WWII in the US Navy. He was a member of the 109th Seabees Battalion and Squad Leader for the 5th Battalion. Sacrifice comes in different shapes & sizes. Ralph & Eleanor's sacrifice was having no children fearing radiation exposure in Nagasaki, Japan.

He cherished the relationship with his Angels Companions from Shannondell, aides Evelyn, Suzie, Smiley & Tiny.

Ralph was a generous supporter of College Possible Philadelphia, a non-profit organization committed to college access and success for low-income, first-generation students in Delaware County and Philadelphia. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to College Possible Philadelphia, 2000 Hamilton Street, Suite 303, Philadelphia, PA 19130.

Friends are invited to Ralph's Life Celebration at St. Katherine of Siena Church, 104 S. Aberdeen Ave., Wayne, PA 19087 on Thursday, October 18th from 10-10:50 am. Ralph's Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 am followed by interment at Holy Trinity Cemetery, Nanticoke, PA.
