Obituary

Richard K. Kozub, 82, of Southampton, passed away on August 23, 2019. Beloved husband of Irene Huber Kozub of 61 years. Loving father of Richard K. Kozub, Jr. (Cynthia) and Mark R. Kozub (Marianne). Cherished Pop-pop to Kristen, Richard III (Casey), Brendan (Lauren), and Courtney. Son of Paul and Mathilda, he is preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Paul and Robert.

Born November 19, 1936, in Philadelphia, Richard was a first-generation German-American. He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1954. After high school, he enlisted in the United States Army as a Jeep and Tank mechanic. He then continued his studies at Temple University and went on to be a Regional Sales Representative for the Lug-All Corporation for over fifty years.

An active community member, Richard gave his time as a Scout leader, Chairman of the Southampton Day Parade, and President of the Centennial Marching Band Parents Association. Richard was a member of the Masonic WK Bray Lodge 410, Pennsylvania. He was an active Rotarian for decades, serving as the Past President of Huntingdon Valley Rotary Club, Charter Member and Past President of the Churchville Rotary Club, and current member of the Huntingdon-Valley Churchville Rotary Club. He served on the Board of Directors for the Gloria Dei Communities Corporation for nearly twenty years.

Richard was happiest when in the company of his abundant family and friends. He enjoyed boating, sporting events, and singing, and had a passion for all things motorized. He will be sorely missed by those who loved him.

Relatives and friends are invited to Richard's Life Celebration Friday, September 6th, 2019 at Gloria Dei Church, 570 Welsh Road, Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m., with his Memorial Service starting at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, on a later date.
