Obituary for Robert A. "Bobby" Bell, Jr.

Obituary

Bell Jr, Robert A. "Bobby', 22 of Brigantine earned his wings on Saturday April 29th, 2017 at the young age of 22. Though Bobby had epilepsy at an early age, he had his spirit, preservation and determination to live life to the fullest until his final days. He endured great pain and never once complained. He was truly remarkable with his sense of humor and immense amount of generosity.

Bobby attended the Brigantine School System and graduated Holy Spirit High School. He played baseball, football, street hockey and soccer. He loved the Boston Red Sox, Philadelphia Phillies, New England Patriots and Philadelphia Eagles. He had a knack for fine dining at the 5-Star restaurants, Mcdonalds and Wawa. He was an entrepreneur with his brother, Johnny, at a young age selling golf balls that were found in the local pond. Bobby also enjoyed the hobby of gambling at the local casinos.

But most of all, Bobby was known for enjoying the time he spent with his family. He would never say no to a Phillies game, day trip to New York, or even simply watching a movie upstairs with the rest of his siblings. He spent hours patiently attempting to teach his two dogs simple tricks. He was a true inspiration to his younger brothers and sisters with his strength and favorite phrases: "Whattttever," "Greaaat," and "Wonderful."

Bobby will be terribly missed by his loving family: Colleen and Robert Bell Sr., brothers John and Thomas Bell, sisters Christa and Tara Bell, grandfather Frank (Arlene) Ruble, and grandmother Jane Silker, predeceased by grandparents Joseph (Leonora) Bell. He also has many aunts, uncles, and cousins that were extremely important in his life. His dogs, Jim and Fluffy, will also miss him.

With Bobby's passing, we remind others that his life is one to be celebrated. He has shown that life is a true blessing and to live every day the way Bobby Bell would live, to the fullest. Bobby's life will continue to live on through his generous gifts of organ donation.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Bobby's Life Celebration and visitation on Friday May 5, 2017 from 10 to 12Noon at St Thomas Church, 8th Street and Brigantine Ave Brigantine. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12Noon. Interment is private. To share your fondest memory of Bobby please visit www.keatesplum.com.
