Ronald A. Bowen of East Norriton passed away peacefully on April 1, 2018 at the age of 70 after a gallant fight with cancer. Born in Mahanoy City on November 15, 1947, he was the son of the late Anna (Nedinsky) and Adam Bowen. Ron graduated from Father Judge High School in Philadelphia and went on to serve in the United States Navy as a Seabee during the Vietnam War. He then graduated from the United States Naval School of Construction. He worked for Nolen Co. for many years building homes after which he started his own business, TruCourse Inc. He was very passionate about his work and dedicated to clients. Ron enjoyed spending his time on his boat in Chesapeake City, Maryland, traveling, NASCAR, gardening, decorating for holidays and listening to Rush Limbaugh. Ron was also very excited to see the Eagles win the Super Bowl this year.

Ron is survived by his wife Linda, his children; Ronald Bowen Jr., Lori Anderson (Thomas), Jennifer Saylor (Bryan), Sara Hart (Mike), Karey Bowen (Matt Hammond), and Jaclyn Bowen (Randy Wood). He is also survived by his grandchildren; Macayla, Ava, Devon, Taylor, Michael, Ashley, Alyssa, as well as another grandchild on the way. In addition, Ron is survived by his brother Richard Bowen (Georgia), brother-in-law Roman Barnhart (Joan), his Aunt Isabel Hilbert, many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by a brother-in-law Robert Barnhart (Carol).

His family would like to acknowledge and express their sincere gratitude to the doctors and nurses at Bryn Mawr Hospital, the Oncology Suite at the Bryn Mawr Medical Arts Pavilion, and Norriton Square Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for the compassion and care they gave to Ron.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Ronald's life on Wednesday, April 11 from 6 – 8 PM at Boyd-Horrox-Givnish, 200 West Germantown Pike in East Norriton, and again on Thursday April 12 from 10-11 at Boyd-Horrox-Givnish. Interment will take place Thursday April 12 at 2 PM at Washington Crossing National Cemetery in Newtown, PA.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Ron's name to Mesothelioma Applied Research Foundation.
