Obituary

On November 28th 2017, Ronald Herbert Whitecross peacefully passed away in his home of 50 years. Ron was born in Bermuda and at a young age he moved to Altoona PA. with his mother, Alice. When Ron was in Middle School they relocated to Brigantine. Ron would remain a Brigantine resident for the rest of his life. After high school, Ron joined the Navy. Once his tour was done, he also spent time as a commercial fisherman and electrician before settling on a career as a union Iron Worker. In fact, Ron had helped build and walked along some of the top steel beams of the tallest buildings in Atlantic City during his time as an iron worker, including the Brigantine bridge. Ron was also a tennis enthusiast, becoming head of the Brigantine Tennis Association. Ron enjoyed spending time out in his extensive garden and time on the north end beaches. Ron is predeceased by his wife Diane. He is survived by two daughters, Kelly Davis and Beth Lyle, five grandchildren and five great grandchildren, all of whom he got to know and loved dearly.
