Obituary

Rose E. Donofrio (nee Radatta) of Norristown, Pa, passed away peacefully on Monday November 19, 2018, surrounded by her loved ones and a heavenly host of angels. She was 91 years old. She was born on April 4th, 1927 in Norristown, Pa.

She was the daughter of the late Nicola and Eva Livia (Pellicciotta) Radatta, and the beloved wife of the late Frank C. Donofrio with whom she shared 50 years of marriage.

Rose possessed an enormous heart, a joyful soul, and an uplifting spirit. She was an active member of St. Francis of Assissi church, where she helped plan trips and events for the senior citizens group. For many years, she competed in a bowling league at Facenda Whitaker. She took pride in her appearance, her family, and in everything she touched. She was an amazing cook and baker, an avid walker, a daily mass attendee, and a good steward to all.

Rose was a bright light in this world, and she poured her warmth and kindness onto everyone that crossed her path. Her true treasure in life was her family, and she loved them whole-heartedly. She will be missed every minute of every day, and will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, neighbor, and friend.

Rose is survived by her seven children; Maria DiGiacomo (Philip), Eve Brozyno (Michael), Sharon Rafferty (Kevin), Carole Dowhan (Mark), Rosann Hanson, Frank Donofrio, and James Donofrio, Nine grandchildren; Joseph and Kristen, Mark and Nicholas, Jillian and Kevin, Jimmy and Landen, and Michael. Five great-grandchildren, Joey and Mia, Jack and Tommy, and Christian Jr. and multiple nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her brother, James and sisters Julia and Olga.

Friends and relatives are invited to share in Rose's Life celebration on Tuesday November 27, from 10 to 11:20 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 600 Hamilton St. Norristown. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:30 AM at the church. Interment will be at St. Patrick's Cemetery. Family services are by Boyd-Horrox-Givnish of East Norriton, 610-277-7000.
