Obituary for Thomas D. Inskeep

August 26, 1955 - December 7, 2021
Yardley, Pennsylvania | Age 66

Loving Husband, Father, Brother, and Friend

On December 7th, 2021, following a four year struggle with Lewy Body Dementia, Thomas Day Inskeep joined God's side while surrounded by his family at home. Tom was born on August 26th, 1955 to Robert and Fannie Mae Inskeep in Albion, Illinois. He graduated from high school in Danville, Indiana, and later the Indiana University School of Business after which he passed his CPA exam.

Tom began his career as a Certified Public Accountant for the State of Indiana where he worked in public accounting and then later was employed by Ivy Tech as an internal auditor. Later he moved to recruiting for finance, accounting, and IT. Tom's career eventually took him to Rochester, New York, and ended with him living in Yardley, Pennsylvania.

Tom gave off the air of an ordinary man, but was extraordinary to those who knew and loved him. He was a gentleman in every sense of the word. He'll be remembered not as the life of the party, but as the LIGHT of the party. Those who knew him best would describe Tom as a good listener, a goofball, humble, honest, a man of God, and dedicated to his family. In fact, Tom was so dedicated to his family that he would almost never miss a sporting event or concert that his kids were involved in. He once took the 3.5 hour drive to Penn State's Main Campus in State College after work on a Thursday, just to see his son perform in Glengarry Glen Ross, after which, he then proceeded to return back home to Yardley the following morning and work a full day.

In his spare time, you could find Tom reading a book about history, golfing, and working out. Tom was dedicated to health and fitness, often waking up early before work just to go to the gym. When he was younger, he competed in triathlons and biked thousands of miles. With his family, he loved cheering for the Eagles, Phillies, the Indiana University Hoosiers, as well as his hometown Colts. On Sunday mornings, you could find Tom serving and worshiping at the Newtown United Methodist Church.

Tom leaves behind his wife of 30 years Carol, his two children Carly and Braden, and his siblings Linda Rodney, Bob & Cheryl Inskeep, and Pamm & Andy Thimlar.

Relatives and friends are invited to Tom's Life Celebration from 10:00 A.M. and Funeral Service with Rev. Blaik Westhoff beginning at 11:00 A.M. at the Swartz-Givnish Funeral Home, 323 Washington Avenue, Newtown, Pennsylvania 18940.
