Obituary

Tom was born on July 20, 1949 in Philadelphia and lived in Mayfair with his parents, three brothers and sister. He attended St. Timothy Grade School and Lincoln High School. Tommy was a star pitcher for the Vogt Playground baseball team. He turned his younger brothers on to the popular rock bands of the time – Rolling Stones, Doors, and the Grateful Dead. More recently, he created playlists of late 1960's music for his nieces.

In 1969, Tom was drafted into the Army, served in Viet Nam as a cook, and was honorably discharged in 1971. He worked for many years at ShopRite until his retirement. Although Tom didn't have much, he contributed to many charities, including The Wounded Warrior Project and St. Jude Hospital for Children.

Tom is survived by his mother, Barbara Rock; sister, Barbara Ann; brothers, Mike (Gerri), Joe, Dennis (Debbie); nieces, Katie and Brenna; grandnephew, Dario; and his longtime companion, Anna Lee Esckuchen.
