Obituary

Timothy W. Genthner, 58, of New Hope, PA died peacefully at his home on May 9, 2018 after a lengthy battle with Lymphoma. Born in Phillipsburg, NJ, Tim grew up in Williams Twp., PA. He is a graduate of Moravian Academy in Bethlehem, PA.

Tim spent his professional career as a National Service Technician for over 25 years with Merlin Industries. He was an avid fresh water fisherman anywhere there was fish, his favorite place being the Delaware River. Tim enjoyed life by helping anyone in need, loving animals and wildlife, tinkering in the garage and working on his projects in the back yard which he both designed and lovingly built. He had a knack for "Timisms" and lively conversations. Tim was a member of Defiance Lodge #335, Knights of Pythias.

Tim is the son of the late Daniel Godwin Genthner and he is survived by his mother Ursula Maher Genthner and his loving wife of 18 years Peggy Mershon Genthner. He is the devoted stepfather of Lynne and her husband Paul Storck, Luke and his wife Jen Diers and Larisa and her husband Paul Rottkamp. He is the proud "Boppy" of Alex, Reed, Jack, Zoe, Dylan and Owen. Tim is also survived by his brothers, Christopher (Paula) and Peter (Margit) Genthner and nieces and nephew, Betsy, Priscilla, Penn and Ingrid.

Relatives and friends are invited to Tim's Memorial Life Celebration on Wednesday, May 16 from 5 to 8 PM at the Swartz Givnish Funeral Home, 323 Washington Ave, Newtown. A Knights of Pythias service will be conducted at 8 PM. Tim's funeral service will be on Thursday, May 17 at 11 AM at the Newtown United Methodist Church, 35 Liberty Street, Newtown. Interment will be private.
