W. M. "Spike" Geyer, Jr. passed away on June 17, 2018 at age 71. Born November 28, 1946, Spike was the son of the late Eilleen (Quill) Dannaker (Dan) and the late Walter M. Geyer, Sr. (Janet Geyer). He lived in Jeffersonville with his beloved wife, Brenda (DiDonato) Geyer, together for 35 years.

Spike was the father of Dana Leigh (Geyer) Scioli (Brad Scioli) and the grandfather of Ella Victoria Scioli and Gia Francesca Scioli. He is also survived by his brother Keith Geyer (Theresa DiLullo), his mother-in-law Louise DiDonato (the late Dante DiDonato, Sr.), brother-in-law Dante DiDonato, Jr. (Nancy), nephews Stephen Geyer (Michelle), Dante DiDonato III, great nephew Angelo Dante DiDonato and best friend since age 14, Victor Rosica. Spike leaves behind his dogs, Shakey Jake, Gingerbread and Pretty Boy Floyd 2.

Spike proudly served our Country during the Vietnam War Era, where he served as a helmsman in the US Navy. He was a bartender and bar owner and worked at the Little Brown Jug, the Glass Rack, Walter's Tavern where he met his wife Brenda and Spike's Towne Tavern in Phoenixville. He was one of the best baseball players in West Norriton and the Norristown area and he was scouted at age 12. He was one of the first kids ever to play West Norriton Little League. He played American Legion Ball for the Gateway Diner along with two other leagues. He was a great dancer and loved to dance to the 50's and 60's music. Spike had a beautiful voice, and received a standing ovation for singing "In the Still of the Night". He loved to watch his tomato plants and flowers grow. Most of all, he loved his family very much.

Relatives and friends are invited to Spike's Life Celebration on Tuesday, June 26th at Boyd-Horrox-Givnish of East Norriton, 200 W. Germantown Pike from 6-8 PM and again Wednesday, June 27th from 9-10:15 AM. Spike's Funeral Service will begin at 10:30 AM followed by interment at Valley Forge Memorial Gardens.
