Walter F. Pieczynski, Jr., of Philadelphia, passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2019. He was 77 years old. "Walt" as he was affectionately known by to his family and friends, was born on April 22, 1942 to the late Walter F. Pieczynski, Sr. and Lydia (née Kishel) Pieczynski in Philadelphia. He was the husband to Connie (née O'Neill) Pieczynski with whom he is survived by and together they would have shared 53 years of marriage on October 1, 2019. Walt served honorably in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and formed his own electrical contracting business, "Walt's Electrical Service". He was a handyman in all aspects and was involved in his community as a committeeman in Bridesburg and also was an Advocate for the Pennypack Park Music Festival. Walt was also a member of the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce and in his free time, enjoyed bowling, gardening, skating, and politics.

In addition to his wife Connie, Walt is survived by three children; Daniel W. Pieczynski, Joyce L. Jackson (Stephen), and Joan Hucke (William) as well as four grandchildren; Thomas, David, Victoria, and Jessica. He was predeceased by his son, Bryant J. Pieczynski and is survived by his siblings; Gloria McAvinue, Stephen Bebko, and Kathy Marion.

Relatives and friends are invited to Walt's Life Celebration on Friday, October 4, 2019 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at Resurrection of Our Lord Church, 2000 Shelmire Ave. Philadelphia, PA 19152 followed by his funeral mass at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be held at Forest Hills Cemetery. Family services are by Dean-Geitner-Givnish, 215-745-1006.
