Lawton
Walter, Sr. went home to be with the Lord Friday, February 17th, surrounded by his loving family; he was 88. Born in Bristol, Pa, Walter was one of several children to the late G. Harry and Mary Lawton. A skilled carpenter, Walter was a proud member of the Carpenters Union for 65 years and in 1953 built his own home, at which his family still lives. Walter was also a member of the ROMEOs; he loved fishing, telling jokes, and sports and in his younger years played baseball.

Walter is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Shirley (nee Leyden), his adoring children, Sharon Ceniglio, Wendy (Bud) Terrill, Sandy (Tim) Keller, and Walter (Paula) Lawton, Jr., his cherished grandchildren, Tara, Stephen, Justin (Mandy), Jared, James, and Courtney, and great grandchildren, Matthew, Logan, and Briana. He is also survived by a brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to Walter's Life Celebration from 10AM-12PM followed by his Funeral Service at 12PM on Thursday, February 23rd, at the Calvary Chapel, 13500 Philmont Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19116. Interment Newtown Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions, in Walter's honor, may be made to Calvary Chapel or the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia at www.give.chop.edu/.
