William C. Hobbs

William C. Hobbs passed away peacefully early Friday morning June 16, 2017 after a rapid decline in his health. He remained active well into his 91st year when health issues became a problem but was well enough to celebrate his birthday with family.
Bill was predeceased by his wife Rose and daughter Carol and is survived by his four children Lynn Wysor and husband Jim of Norwich, NY, Kathy O'Donnell and husband Dave of Wrightstown, PA, Bill Hobbs and wife Diane of Yardley, PA and Missy Lenahan and husband Kevin of Ivyland, PA. One of Bill's hobbies was carving; he could turn a piece of wood into a beautiful piece of art. He took great care in his work and presented each one of his eight great grandchildren with a duck carving, having finished the last two ducks within the last three months. The fortunate great grandchildren are Sylvia, Benjamin, Evan, Ethan, Eli, Olivia, Maxwell and Jackson.

Bill's love of the outdoors was something he shared with his family. Many hours were passed hunting and fishing, as he loved them both. He took the time to go fishing with his kids and grandkids whenever he could.

Bill is a WWII Veteran. He gave up earning his high school diploma to join the United States Navy becoming a signalman third class. He later became a member of the Newtown American Legion-Morell Smith Post 440. He is also a member of Bristol #25 Masonic Lodge and is a member of the Tall Cedars of Lebanon, Trenton Forest Number 4.
