Obituary

William C. Eichenberger passed away Thursday, February 23rd , 2017 at Chandler Hall surrounded by family. He was 70 years old. Bill was born and raised in northeast Philadelphia before moving to Bensalem in 1967. He was the only son of William and Anna Eichenberger. He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter Debra Ann. Bill graduated from Abraham Lincoln high school in 1964, where he met Carol Marie. He always enjoyed working on cars in his spare time.

Bill was a loving husband of Carol M. (Bolch) for 51 years. He is survived by daughter Kimberly Engeland (Kevin), three grandchildren Daniel (Liss), Megan (Engeland), and Emily (Engeland) and his step-brother George Haller (Joan). He is also survived by his mother-in- law Elizabeth (Bolch), brother-in- law Chris (Alexa), sister-in- law Elizabeth (Elsa) and sister-in- law Linda. He will be sadly missed by his nephew Matthew along with many cherished friends.

He worked as a manager at ShopRite food stores before a career as an electrician, retiring from IBEW 98 in 2006. Bill loved spending his summers withal of his family at the New Jersey shores of Avalon and Stone Harbor. He was an avid Philadelphia sports fan, especially the Eagles and loved to read. He was a caring friend to so many, always willing to lend a hand or offer support. He cherished all of his family and friends through the years and will be missed by all.

Family and friends are invited to Bill's Life Celebration, Monday, from 7-9pm, at Dunn/Givnish of Langhorne, 378 South Bellevue Ave., and to participate in his Funeral Service, Tuesday, Feb. 28 th , 11am, at St. David's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 9169 Academy Rd., Phila., PA 19114. Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery.
